- Have you ever seen any wild animals before?
Like the other child, of course I have. Back to the past, my parents often took me to the zoo which is next to my house; therefore I had many chances to see lots of beasts. I’ve seen giraffes, tigers, or even camels, but I have impression on lions! Wow they have such big manes and their roar makes me scared. Now I don’t have much time to go to the zoo due to my timetable.
- Beast /biːst/: an animal, especially one that is large or dangerous, or one that is unusual: động vật hoang dã, động vật lớn
- To have impression on sb/sth: an idea, a feeling or an opinion that you get about somebody/something, or that somebody/something gives you: có ấn tượng,cảm tình với ai/cái gì
- Mane /meɪn/: the long hair on the neck of a horse or a lion: cái bờm
- Due to sb/sth /duː tu/: caused by somebody/something; because of somebody/something: bởi vì, do là, được gây ra bởi ai/cái gì, do ai/cái gì..
II. What animal do you like the most?
Hmm, let me see. I’m an animal lover so I quite care about animal world, it’s difficult to choose one among thousands of them. But, if I have to pick one, I’ll choose rabbits! Because rabbits are so cute and they always stand out with their white fur and long long ears, as well as two big incisors. Moreover, although they’re small, they can run very fast when escaping from hunters and predators.
- Care about sb/sth: to like or love somebody and worry about what happens to them quan tâm đến, lo lắng cho ai/cái gì…
- Stand out /stænd aʊt/ (phrasal verb): to be much better or more important than somebody/something: nổi bật, nổi trội
- Incisor /ɪnˈsaɪ.zɚ/: one of the sharp teeth at the front of the mouth that are used for biting. Humans have eight incisors: răng cửa
- Escape from sb/sth /ɪˈskeɪp/: to get away from or avoid something unpleasant or dangerous: trốn thoát khỏi kẻ thù, chạy thoát khỏi ai …

III. Do you like to go to the zoo?
Yes, definitely! Since I was about 5 years old, I’ve dreamed of building a zoo and becoming a great zookeeper in the future. Therefore, at the weekends, anytime my parents are free, I usually told my parents to take me to the zoo in order to make new friends with animals, to feed them and to take photos with wild animals! It‟s was really fascinating and amazing experience!
- Dream of doing sth: to think about something that you want very much: mơ ước, mong muốn làm gì
- Zookeeper /ˈzuːkiːpər/: a person who works in a zoo, taking care of the animals: người quản lý vườn thú
- To tell sb to do sth: to order or advise somebody to do something: yêu cầu, ra lệnh, khuyên ai làm gì

IV. Have you ever kept a pet?
Well, actually I really want to keep a Chihuahua dog, it‟s kind of fun when I coming back home after a hard-working day and my dog jumps into me, greets me, so relax and cheerful though. Unfortunately, my daddy, he doesn’t allow me to keep a pet cause‟ he thinks pets are so dirty and messy! So sad!!
- Jump into (Phrasal Verb): → to move quickly off the ground or away from a surface by pushing yourself with your legs and feet → nhảy tới, nhảy chồm lên
Phrasal Verb được sử dụng rất nhiều trong Speaking, với động từ Jump có thể liên kết đƣợc với nhiều giới từ khác để tạo thành Phrasal Verb, và Jump + into nghĩa là nhay chồm lên!
- Allow sb to do sth (Phrasal Verb): → to let somebody/something do something; to let something happen or be done → cho phép ai làm gì
Thay vì nói “My dad doesn’t give me his permission to raise a dog” quá dài dòng lại không rõ nghĩa, chúng ta nên sử dụng “My dad doesn’t allow me to do blabla…” ngắn gọn hơn, rõ nghĩa hơn!

V. What do people use animals for in your country?
That’s a good question! From my point of view, citizens in my country use animals for a variety of purposes, but I think there are three major reasons: Some keep cats, dogs or birds as their pets, consider them like a child; some use animals such as chickens, pigs or bulls for providing food for daily diet, others use animals like crocodiles, ostriches, or goats to take fur and leather used for producing clothes, shoes, handbags
- Purpose /ˈpɜːrpəs/ → the intention, aim or function of something; the thing that something is supposed to achieve → mục đích,
Ở câu trả lời trên, Purpose được dùng để thay thế cho Reason ở vế sau, tránh mắc lỗi lặp từ
- Provide for sb/sth ( phrasal verb ) → to make preparations to deal with something that might happen in the future, to give somebody the things that they need to live, such as food, money and clothing → cung cấp cho ai/cái gì …
Provide for là cụm Phrasal Verb khá phổ biến và quen thuộc nhưng không vì vậy mà chúng làm mất điểm Lexical Resource của bạn đâu nhé! Hãy cứ sử dụng nhiều phrasal verb để bài nói được tự nhiên hơn, native hơn nhé!
- Ostrich /ˈɑːstrɪtʃ/ → a very large African bird with a long neck and long legs, that cannot fly but can run very fast → con đà điểu
Về túi xách thì da đà điểu khá nổi tiếng nên khi bạn muốn miêu tả công dụng của da đà điểu trước hết hãy học tên con vật này nhé.

VI. What is the most popular wild animal in your country?
Due to the humid climate and biodiversity of my country, Vietnam, many species can be found from North to South over my country. In my opinion, elephant is the most famous wild animal which still alives today. People benefit a lot from elephants, use them for riding, carrying heavy things or welcoming tourists all over the world. Sadly, the number of elephants has been dropping sharply due to human‟s awareness.
- Humid /ˈhjuːmɪd/ → (of the air or climate) warm and slightly wet →khí hậu ẩm ướt
Khí hậu của Việt Nam vô cùng đa dạng từ Bắc chí Nam nhưng nhìn chung gọi là “Humid”
- Biodiversity /ˌbaɪəʊdaɪˈvɜːrsəti/ → the existence of a large number of different kinds of animals and plants which make a balanced environment → sự đa dạng sinh học
Đây là từ vựng thuộc nhóm C1, nên khi bạn nói sẽ khiến giám khảo ấn tượng về sự hiểu biết vocab của bạn đấy nhé !
- To benefit from sth → to be useful to somebody or improve their life in some way → có lợi từ cái gì
Nhiều bạn cứ nghĩ benefit là danh từ, không phải đâu nhé, benefit có cả 2 hình thức danh từ và động từ luôn nha! Thay vì “Receive lots of benefit’ cũng khá common, chi bằng ta thay benefit động từ “Benefit from blabla…” trông có vẻ ngầu hơn nhiều đấy!

VII. Do you think zoos are suitable places for keeping wild animals?
Of course I do. I believe that nowhere in the world is safer for animals than zoos. In the zoo, wild animals are protected from hunters and predators, they are fed regularly and have a good environment to live in. Each animal is able to have its own cages and area, life of wild animals in zoo probably healthier than wildlife. Zoos also help to lengthen animals‟s longevity and reduce the risk of losing rare animals.
- Longevity /lɔːnˈdʒevəti/: →long life; the fact of lasting a long time → tuổi thọ trung bình
- Risk of doing sth: →the possibility of something bad happening at some time in the future; a situation that could be dangerous or have a bad result → nguy cơ khi làm gì
