II. The IELTS Preparation Methods of the Medical Student
“As a medical student at the University of Danang, I started with a fairly low level of English. Learning new vocabulary and listening to English were always significant challenges that made me feel insecure in communication; I could only say a few basic sentences to foreigners. After discovering and engaging with the learning methods at WISE English, my understanding of English in general and IELTS in particular has truly changed. Thanks to the Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) method of WISE, I can connect information more flexibly, improving my listening reflexes better and no longer listening passively as before. Additionally, the 6-Step Vocabulary Learning method has given me a different perspective on learning new words; my vocabulary has expanded significantly, and I can remember and use words more accurately.” Thanh Toan shared his IELTS preparation experience.
“For skills, Listening is the area where I have improved the most by regularly spending time listening to programs on YouTube or materials provided by my teachers. I would take notes and write down what I heard, which also improved my vocabulary and grammar. This method helped me enhance both Listening and Reading skills, and I achieved an 8.0 IELTS in these two sections. I still have many shortcomings in Writing and Speaking, but I will strive to improve them in the future.”
“There are many materials available for IELTS preparation, but you have to know how to select them. I usually practice with topics in the Cambridge IELTS books and the sets of questions sent by my teachers. These materials include many sample essays and are quite close to the real exam.”
Thanh Toan also shared that thanks to the dedication of the teachers and the enthusiastic support from the staff, he always feels excited whether studying online or offline. The WISE English team also motivates him and instills positivity to help him perform better on the exam.
Thank you, Thanh Toan, for such honest sharing. WISE English believes that these experiences are incredibly useful for many students who are feeling confused in their learning process. We wish Thanh Toan to maintain his passion for English and achieve even higher scores in future exams.
